PMLN, especially CM Mian Shahbaz Sharif is in power in
Punjab for the last 9 years. While he enjoys the facilities of being a ruler of
Punjab, the people who voted for him suffer miserably. A woman, named Zahra Bibi, 60 years old
died today on the floor of Jinnah Hospital as she was unattended for the last 3
hours. She was laid out on the floor of the Medical Unit I because there was no
vacant bed inside. Moonis Elahi
lashed out on PMLN's poor governance saying the incumbent government was unable
to provide treatment facilities to its own voters.
The woman was brought in from Kasur to Punjab Institute of
Cardiology (PIC) complaining of chest pain and the doctors diagnosed her of
kidney pains. She was referred to the Services Hospital where doctors examined
her and asked her male attendant to take her to Jinnah Hospital as they lacked
the facilities needed for her treatment. Upon arrival at the Jinnah Hospital
she was checked in the emergency and was admitted in the Medical Unit I. But
since there was no bed available she was asked to lay outside here to breathed
her last. Moonis Elahi expressed
grief and sorrow over the misery of the woman she had to endure.
While Shahbaz Sharif is busy constructing roads, metro
projects and failed power projects for billions of rupees, there is no plan in
action over medical uplifting in Punjab. It seems Shahbaz Sharif thinks people
as vehicles who only need roads to run on and as vehicles don't get repaired in hospitals,
there is no need to spend any money on hospitals. MoonisElahi said during their time, Emergency Departments in hospitals all over
Punjab were formed and they ensured all medications were free in them
irrespective of how much it cost. They had also built new Cardiology hospitals
in Multan, Faisalabad and Wazirabad.
Moonis Elahi said
while they were also building roads and providing transportation facilities to
the people, PMLQ had not ruled out health sector from their agenda as the PMLNhas done. As they rush to the UK to get treated, they have no concern over the
plight of hospitals in Punjab. Every hospital in Punjab is in ruins and there
are no uplifting plans or expansion plans as the population is increasing
rapidly. Shortage of hospitals is leading to shortage of beds in the already
operational hospitals. PMLN must build new hospitals equipped with modern
technology to treat the patients in time of their arrival.
